Teacher recommendations for Commonapp and ApplyTexas?

Help me pls!

Alright, I just barely started on my college applications!
I am planning to use ApplyTexas and CommonApp for my college applications. However, I read online that there are "specific things" that the teacher needs to fill out for CommonApp?

I really want to ask the teachers tomorrow... but I donno how to get it started.

What information do they need to know? What forms do they need to fill out? How will they submit the teacher recommendations? Basically... what do I need to do so the teachers can start writing me recommendations.

Also, should I get 1 or 2 teachers to write me a teacher recommendation?

I plan to apply to these schools + more:

Rice
Austin
Cornell
A&M
UNM

Thank you!

Rice and Cornell will be on commonapp. UNM just has their own application system on their website. ApplyTexas will take care of A&M and “Austin” (what school do you mean by Austin BTW? Hopefully not UT Austin, that deadline has passed).

With CommonApp, you have to log into Commonapp.org and go to “school forms” and send invitations to your teachers. This sends them an e-mail with log in information where they will fill out one recommendation for all schools you apply to on Commonapp. They usually request 1-2 teacher recommendations, as well as a counselor recommendation.

ApplyTexas does not have an online recommendation system. If you wish to send recommendations (which I don’t believe are required, but it can always help), you will have to get your teacher to type up a recommendation and send it directly to admissions.

Go find out if UNM, A&M, or “Austin” require letters. Sometimes scholarships apps/honors apps require letters of recommendation, so check that too if you are interested. Decide if you want/need to send them.

Go to your teachers/counselor tomorrow and ask them for whatever you need, whether an actual letter of recommendation or the Commonapp recommendation (which does not really require a formal letter). Even if you think you only need 1 recommendation, ask 2 teachers. The more the merrier. Make sure one is a from a core subject.
