Teacher Recommendations: ONCE AND FOR ALL

So, since I couldn't find any sticky which, logically, should address this topic, here is the ultimate question: How do I handle these inconceivably stupid things called teacher recommendations?

Some schools, such as Georgetown, are different and and provide a form other than that contained in the Common Application. That's OK, I get that part.

Other schools, though, accept the Common Application teacher recommendation form. I have been told that because my counselors are unable to fill out their part online, I should therefore not ask my teachers to fill out their part online. Evidently, then, I must have them fill out physical copies.

NOW, if I am applying to 8 or so schools which accept the Common Application teacher recommendation form, do I REALLY ask the teacher to fill out the same thing 8 times? Can I simply have the teacher fill the form out once, then photocopy the form as many times as needed?

Thank you for your aid, my fellow denizens.

Common App-wise, yes, you SHOULD ask your teachers only to fill out one copy and then either have them photocopy it, have them give it to your counselor and have him/her copy it, or h ave you copy it.

Thank you very much, wej !

Hello I hope you don’t mind me asking here,

what if my counselor & teacher 1 uses the paper form for the teacher rec form & teacher 2 uses the online application?

I AM TERRIFIED that my applications will not get through. D: D: D: D:

The Common App does ask for consistency, but I am positive that this is okay–as long as all the pieces are submitted, they should make it into your folder and be evaluated.
