Teacher recommendations with different application sites?

If I plan on applying to one school that requires the coalition application, another that requires the common application, and another that has its own application site, would I have to ask a teacher to fill out three different letter of recommendation forms? If so, how much of an inconvenience would this be for the teacher?

Thanks in advance.

Here’s how it works in my school:

  • Kids request letters in March, asking the teacher first and then submitting 3 names through Guidance. Guidance tries to juggle things to prevent any one teacher from being totally swamped; they choose 2 out of those 3.
  • Letters are submitted before school ends in June, both a hard copy and an electronic one, on school letterhead.
  • On August 1, or shortly thereafter, we submit the letters again to each kid's Common App account, and answer the accompanying checklist for each kid.
  • From that point on, guidance handles it all. Most kids apply to a combination of Common App and non-Common App schools, but guidance forwards my letters to each of them. So, no, it's absolutely no inconvenience to me if my kids apply to a combination of schools.

But how very considerate of you to consider it!!!
