Just a quick question. My counselor and one of my teachers will be submitting my recommendations online via Naviance and CommonApp. My other teacher has moved to Santa Barbara, so she is not connected to my school's Naviance system and will be submitting my recommendations by mail. Is this okay?

Bump
I just heard somewhere that most colleges don’t really like it if the recommendations come from two different sources: mail and online. Is this correct?

Bump bump.

Colleges don’t care if recommendations come online or hardcopy. Your application should all be online (or all hardcopy, but they prefer online these days). So your supplement and application should both be online. Teacher and counselor recommendations and reports can go either way. (I know nothing about Naviance as our school doesn’t use it, so can’t answer your first Q.)

Naviance is basically just an extension of what can already be done on the Common App, so submitting a letter on Naviance would be the same as submitting it online via the CA.
My question still remains. Is it ok to have two recommendations done via the common app online and one sent in by mail?

rentacop: Yes, your teachers can submit their teacher evaluations via different methods.

Awesome. Thank you MacGyver.

Can you submit via paper and have the teachers submit on line? Interesting question.

Why would you submit application on paper? Too many things can go wrong.
