So, I'm having trouble figuring out who I should get my recs from. I know for sure I'll ask for a letter of recommendation from my chem teacher, who I had for 2 years and knows me better than any other teacher, and as a bonus went to my top school of choice (Stanford). I'm also thinking of asking my math teacher from last year. I got the highest grade in the class out of the entire school and the teacher really likes me. But I'm wondering, is it a good idea to get a recommendation letter from both a science and math teacher? I feel like it may make me come off as too math/science focused, when I do actually enjoy English just as well. But my English teacher last year, well I'm not sure how much she likes me. My 10th grade English teacher loved me, but it's been too long I feel. So I'm not sure if I should try to find a teacher to recommend me who's not a science/math teacher, or if I should just go ahead and get recommendations from the people I already plan to. Thoughts?

Teacher recs choices should be teachers who teach core classes which both your Math and Chem teacher are and it sounds like the recs will be strong. Ideally, it would be nice to have an Eng/History choice.

You could ask both the Math and Chem and with schools that only want 2 recs send those.

You could ask your Eng teacher too or another 11th grade teacher and in schools that allow a 3rd rec, send it too.
