So I am applying to some colleges now and two of them require teacher recommendations. And there is a teacher I had back when I was a freshman and I would like her to be one of my reccomenders. Because I feel she will be honest, even though I was not a great student. Would it matter if I had her 4 years ago?
If you want the LoR to assist you in getting admitted, then you should choose a recent teacher (Jr or Sr year) and can attest to you strongly. Your choice fails on one point and may likely fail on the 2nd. I advise against choosing her.
