Hey everyone!
My name is Nadine, and I was wondering if UIUC offered a teacher recommendation option to undergraduates...If there is, can you tell me where to find it?
Thanks!

anyone know?

I believe they don't require recommendations.

If you send them recommendations, they will throw them in the trash. That is literally what an admissions officer told me.

oh, haha thanks! but goshdarnit xP
i got all these letters and now i can't use them...

oh and does anyone know if they 'like' IB?
by 'like' i mean, will they favor those students that apply? (like me?) haha

Are more and more colleges not looking at Recs?

It makes sense, kinda, because any decent student can find a teacher that can praise that student.

It is not that more and more colleges are not looking at recs. UIUC simply has not done so for decades. That is true of public universities generally.

As to the IB question: UIUC considers courses taken and difficulty as an important factor in admission and IB courses are thus a favorable factor (as are AP and honors courses). UIUC does give credit for IB courses after you are admitted, see U of I Admissions: International Baccalaureate
