Teacher Rec's for a soon to be applicant!

<p>Hey guys. I was hoping you could help me out! </p>

<p>So I'm a junior this year, and as the year is winding down, I'm starting to think about gettign a head start on college apps. I'm planning on applying to UChicago early action, so I'll have to get everything done and ready by November 1. I have the teachers in mind that I'm planning on asking to write my 2 recs. I've talked to my math teacher about it, and he seemed enthused(?) about it. He asked me to put a copy of my transcript and list of activities in a manila folder, along with a letter saying what I wanted him to mention about me. </p>

<p>I know what sort of students UChicago is looking for, but what all do you guys think I should consider putting down in this letter?</p>

<p>Also, I'm not really sure how teacher recs work? Can I use the letter he wrote for UC for ALL of the colleges I'm applying to? How do I go about this? What do they write the rec on? Is there a special form? I really need some help!</p>

<p>Your teacher can do the online one if you set up an account on the Common App website. That way, you can use his rec. for all your Common App schools. If you want to send in a hard copy, just have him copy out several and give him an addressed envelope for each school.
I’m not sure if there’s a separate form because I did it online, but I would think there is one.</p>
