Teacher recs from different subjects?

I'm planning on getting my 2 teacher recs from a chemistry teacher and a teacher i have been doing research with for over 2 years(molecular biology). MIT said they want one from a science/math teacher and one from an english teacher. Is it fine if I get both recs from science teachers or will i be at a disadvantage? These two teachers know me very well and they will write me strong letters.

MIT wants what MIT wants... use ur second science teacher as a supplementary rec... and u need a humanities rec just to show u arent a complete science geek... and do have well-roundedness to explore other fields...

You do need to send one recommendation from a math or science teacher and one from a humanities teacher (English, social studies, foreign language, art, music, etc.) -- this is a requirement.

You are free to send the other science teacher's recommendation as a supplemental letter. MIT will accept more than two letters.
