teacher recs on common app

will colleges read all the teacher recs on the common app. for example, i have one bad teacher rec that was submitted online on the common app but i iddnt choose it to be submitted for that college but can colleges still read that recommendation. also, can i send my reccommmendations after the postmarked deadline. i have copies of my tecaher recommendations but im running out.

can someone please anwer my question and also do you have to write your name for common app. are there any additional things you ahve to do if youre sending it by paper. you just send it right? please answer about the quesiton above

if the college didn't get it, they can't read it.

typically you can only have recs sent slightly late after the deadline if it was the teacher's fault. but the deadline isn't until jan 1 for most colleges...why don't you send now?

of course you need to write your name for the common app. how else are they going to identify you?

i'm not sure how the common app works if you're sending it by paper. you should check out the "help" part of the common app website.

i had 5 copies of my teacher recs but im applying to 12. i asked for more 2 weeks before the break but my teacher never gave it to me. th eonly tjime i could send it is after break which is jan 5.

Colleges will only read the recommendations you submit to them, unless the teacher mails the rec directly to the college.

Send in your applications and supplements by the deadline (whether online or paper). Get the teachers' recs sent or submitted as soon as possible; after the break is ok.

If you have paper copies of your teacher recs, you could just photocopy those and send them. If your school keeps those (which is more normal), then just supply pre-addressed, stamped envelopes to your teachers when you get back from the break -- one addressed to the Admissions Office of each college you're applying to.

If you still have an unanswered question, please phrase it carefully and post it in a reply.

Good luck with your applications!
