<p>I'm a junior who is most likely going to apply to Harvard in the fall. My present English teacher is currently attending Harvard and will be receiving a Master's in Journalism. Do you think his recommendation would have more weight because he attends the school?</p>

they even say that who the recommender is doesn't matter...the issue is the quality of the recommendation (ie, how great does he make you sound in the recommendation?)

<p>^But you have to admit, people with connections have a higher chance (in general).</p>
<p>^that's 'cause people with connections tend to be in the "legacy" column of the applicant lists...in which case they cease to be put under the same standards (but not by too much) in terms of admissions.</p>
