<p>I have heard U of I does not want teacher's recs. I tried to find this info online and haven't been able to. Is that true or should my ds be asking for recs at this point?</p>
<p>they wont take it they say all my friends that applied including me didnt send them cause they said dont bother just ask for teacher recs for other schools</p>
<p>The Dean that met with us was adamant about us NOT sending in teacher recs.</p>
<p>They neither want nor rely on recommendation letters. That is typical for public universities nationwide.</p>
