Teacher recs...

As a second semester junior, I only know one teacher whom I am absolutely certain that will be writing my recommendation next year. Should I wait until senior year to find another teacher that I can become close with to write the 2nd one?

colleges will look at recs from teachers who taught you either junior or senior year, so yes, that would be fine. also, keep in mind that some colleges require one rec from a math/science teacher and the other from a humanities teacher (e.g. uChicago). its better to do this anyways, even if its not required, so colleges won’t think you’re skewed towards one academic field.
