Hi! My teacher reformatted my graphing calculator today, causing me to lose all of my programs :( I had made so many programs and notes that I had planned to use for the SAT and Math IIC that had nothing to do with that we are studying in class. I know the programs are not necessary for the exams, but they help me. She will continue to do this if I program them back in.

Has anybody else encountered this problem? Isn't it violation of private property? Either way, it makes me upset because it wasted my time and/or makes it harder for me to do well on these exams.

SAT proctors are not allowed to format your calculators, but your regular school teacher is.

How are teachers simply allowed to? How is that not an invasion of property?

You dont need anything but a calculator that can add, subtract, multiply, devide, and has exponential capabilities. Trust me, I thought I was in your situation too, didn’t need a thing (most likely got a 800 on dec one).

I agree with darkaeroga…I too fussed alot about the graphing calculator before the december test and managed to get a TI-89 one day before the test.I brought my trusty old casio as a backup just in case the TI-89 failed. Through out the test I didn’t even touch the TI-89,I just used the casio for trivial computations such as 15*19 and managed to finish 12 minutes early…Used to be 7 minutes late on barron’s practice tests.Im pretty sure a Graphing calculator is unnecessary…Just get a good dose of barrons math II and you will be prepared for anything and the test will seem like a joke
