So I asked two teachers to write me rec letters. I assigned each one to only some schools out of the 8 I applied to because a few required two teacher letters. Some schools I only wanted letters from one teacher and other schools I only wanted letters from the other teacher. My school uses Naviance and so I assigned the teachers on Naviance. Both have submitted and on Naviance they are assigned properly, but on the common app it lists both teachers as recommenders on most of the schools, even the ones they weren’t assigned to on Naviance. On a few schools only the right teacher is listed, but on other schools both are, even when I only wanted one. What can I do? Some of the schools that apparently have two letters really really don’t want two letters, and I feel like sending two letters to schools that requested one looks desperate and like I’m trying to cover some inadequacy I don’t have. Is this a glitch with the system or did my teachers somehow send letters to schools that weren’t assigned to them?
