Teacher trouble.... Help please

I am so mad. First high school has been a nightmare because I had only done Honor Roll (never all As, just a mix of As and Bs). Now, I have this b**** for an English teacher. She keeps on giving me Ds; and though I admit it is not my best work I do not think they are worth such a grade. Even when I do try hard, she does not give me decent credit. My Ivy League dream is now ruined, my GPA is 3.0 now which equals failure to colleges. What can I do? I cannot stand this teacher, and she's getting on my nerves in spite of being the last grading period. I am also having crappy grades in Math, but it's not my teacher's fault I don't get algebra.
Do you think colleges understand if I explain to them? My guidance counselor does not seem to ever want to back me up; so I don't know.....

is the teacher hot

You sound like a freshman. Suck it up. One class won’t make a difference–really.

Have you ever thought of talking to the teacher about it? Ask her why she keeps marking you down? Why didn’t you do something earlier in the term?

Talk to her.

Colleges probably would reject you just for blaming the teacher. Own up to your own problems.

I agree with musicallylatin, you sound like a freshman. Just deal with it (for what, like a month more?). You should have talked with her. I have one of these b****y English teachers too, and you can’t let them get to you. This one is so notorious that over 40 students were in Honors English freshman year and now there is only 17 sophomore year. She had made people cry and go nearly insane; she is a feminist and has hated me since Day 1, and it is a known fact your grade depends on her mood. On vocab tests, she writes stories about how she is the Tzar and all of her students are fed up with failing her class so we plot a coup; worst of all, she uses our names in the story (I’ve played the roles of a white supremacist gardener and a radical, violent gang member). Sorry for ranting…I mean, we all come across a few bad teachers and maybe one or two completely idiotic ones. You just have to know how to deal with them. Either go talk to her, or even your principal if she is being THAT unjust. How is the rest of your class doing? If they have similar grades, you may have a case.

^I’m suprised we don’t go to the same school, I swear to God, it sounds exactly the same. We even planned a legit coup after we learned about the coup on Gorbachev in the Soviet Union during AP Euro, that’s hillarious.

I had a History teacher that did that freshman year. I wrote a nice report and got a D. Then again I barley did work back in that class, so he probably figured me as someone who didn’t care if I got a D. >.> So, that was on me.

It’s only one class, just keep trying. Did you ask the teacher why you got a D?

Dont explain the colleges that you dont like your teachers .They will regard you as a problematic student. What if you dont get with the Yale`s professors ?

Have you considered changing your high school ?I am planning on changing my high school because my current one doesnt want to arrange me exams in order to fix my grades before sending them to US colleges.

I’ve had a teacher like that. Going in and asking what I was doing wrong helped in two ways: I learned what to improve on, and the teacher saw I wanted to do well and eased up a little. Try that.

If you’re just going to whine and think the world is against you, change to an easier class. Colleges aren’t going to be sending you letters and requiring you write an essay on why your English teacher was “so mean” to you.
