Hey everyone!
I was accepted into one program -

Columbia Teachers College for an MA in Psychology General Track (Psychology in Education? confused...) in the Clinical/Counseling program. I'd requested the PhD program in Clinical Psychology but they picked that MA for me instead.

I don't really know that much about the school or this program except that Columbia is an ivy league and has a great reputation.

Does anyone have anything to say about the school and program?
I have 2 interests, psychology and international development... I know everyone says blah blah blah you need to pick one but I'm going to do both. My plan was to do an IR/ID MA first, work, and then apply to a PhD program or other that would allow me to get licensed as a clinician, but I'm keeping my mind open because I hear Teacher's College is a good school.

I'm welcoming:

General thoughts/experiences about this school and program

Feedback on this specific MA track - why did they choose the "general track" as opposed to the "psychopathology" track for me? What is the benefit/con of doing either program?

What can you do with this MA? It won't make me eligible for licensing :-( Should I look for a program that will, or is this really a great degree to have?
