My school has an online system called Student Gradebook which allows you to see your teacher's gradebooks, the grades you received for homework, assignments, etc.
I have caught more than one teacher that messed up my grades really bad.

My history teacher entered a quiz as 65/80, when it was really 65/70. When I approached him, he was just like "oh woops, that was a mistake" That's like a 10 point difference

My Latin teacher gave me 3 zeros for absolutely no reason and gave me an "in danger of failing" on my progress report when I had a 96 in the class!! I got him to change it and the zeros.

Now I recently noticed that my English teacher gave me half credit for FIVE homework assignments that I completed fully!! What do I do? Should I approach her? I just hate to be like a whiny SOB in front of the class, constantly worrying about my grades

It's just frustrating because who knows what other grades of mine from previous years have gotten messed up.

I know exactly what you mean, I have something similar at my school and teacher always mess it up. Its so frustrating…its like you are a teacher, do your job!! I always feel like I’m annoying when I correct them, but really its your grade and you deserve it, and its their mistake

Do what you have to do to get your correct grade. It is your grade after all, she already went to college, your grade does not hurt her in any way. It is your responsibility to stay on top of your teachers. Continue what you are doing and best wishes.

We have the same type of thing. You’d be surprised that teachers will almost always mess SOMETHING up. It’s almost like you need to hang around the day after Finals to fix stuff.

I would approach him/her before or after class in the nicest way possible. Or, you could e-mail the teacher. Don’t ever try to bring this up in front of the whole class; that’ll make the teacher feel embarrassed.

I just graduated a few weeks ago, but my HS has an online grading system also, and teachers mess it up all the time. I asked teachers about it whenever it happened- you deserve to have the correct grade in there and not be cheated out of a bunch of points!

I remember when my Spanish teacher last year put a 54/55 as a 5/55 and I had a 9 for a third of the marking period since she rarely gave quizzes, OH BOY those were good times when my mum saw.
