Teaching/Instructor Position at Community College with a B.S.?

I’ll be graduating with my BS in Geology this spring, also with research/field experience under my belt. I will be taking some time off (a year or two) prior to grad school. I am mainly aiming for museum internships currently for work in my time off from school.

However, I was considering applying to a part-time instructor position at a local community college. Generally these positions state requirements as being a masters degree. Would I have any chance at hooking a position like this with a bachelors and relevant research expertise in my field?

It’s a big country, and I don’t know you / your contacts / your local CC, so I am editing my original response (which was somewhere between choking on my corn flakes and falling off my chair laughing) to say, ime it is extremely unlikely, but there’s no harm in trying.

Typically you need a masters degree but the community college near me hires tutors. You might be able to land a support position like that.
