<p>It depends on quite a few factors;</p>

<ol>
<li> Where you live - country, state, district</li>
<li> What you teach - early childhood, elementary, secondary, K-8, 7-12, undergrad, grad etc</li>
<li> Setting - private, public, college, community college, pre-school</li>
</ol>

<p>Please don't say you want to teach "because you love kids." They don't need another friend, they need a strong presence who will control the environment so they can learn effectively and efficiently and feel safe to explore their interests and passions. If you are passionate about learning, about the ability of children to learn, and about the importance of learning to children, then be a teacher. We need you!</p>
