I was admitted as a CS major in the engineering school early action this year, and I wanted to hear from current students as to what the recruiting scene was like. Do top tier companies have a presence on the grounds? If anyone has a complete list from the last career fair, or something, that would be great. If not, do you know which, if any of, the companies from following list (at bottom) recruited? Thanks.
If you poke around the main Career Services and the Engineering Career services websites, you can look at the various fairs that happen here. UVA students are in high demand. I was just listening to someone from engineering career services who said a recruiter was most interested in our students who had double majors or a combo of major/minor that included one of the other schools at UVA (it’s really common for our engineers to have business or econ minors).
There are SOAR reports submitted by graduates about where they are headed. You might look for the results on the UVA website, too.
