I know UVa lets you check to see if you're accepted online (unfortunately, not for a while), but what about VaTech & JMU? When I check my status on JMU's it just says "completed, we're reviewing your application, blah, blah, blah". I think they say their mailings will go out the middle of April. What about Tech's site? As far as I can tell, transfers aren't able to check their status.

JMU won't post their decision online...it says they will only deliver by mail in mid-April.

As for VT, if I remember correctly from Freshmen admissions last year, they send an email directing you to a website. They also give you a PIN number. All you need is your application number, which they give you right after your application has been confirmed.

I think VT sends the email with the PIN number and website in the end of April/early May.

I think the same holds true for VT as JMU. After sending in my app to VT, they sent me an email with my app #, but nothing was said regarding email. In fact, they said that all applicants would be informed of their admission decision by mail on the published notification date. I was just wondering if anyone knew otherwise. I don't know why freshmen can log on and find out and transfers can't.

I remember last year as a freshman applicant I called vtech and asked if my decision would be online and they said no, they only mail them. A couple of weeks later I saw on the Vtech board that people were getting the decisions on a special web page and mine was there too, to bad they rejected me.

Well, I know freshman applicants were able to see their decisions online, but I don't think transfers were. I think it's the same this year, unless someone says otherwise.
