<p>What are technical courses defined as - are they engineering pre-reqs, or are they the actual upper div classes?</p>
<p>They are upper division courses (with the exception of Chemistry 20B), meant to diversify the students’ areas of engineering knowledge.</p>
<p>You choose an area of breadth to fulfill (12 units) , outside of your engineering major.</p>
