Technical (Math and Science) notes on laptop

I have an X220, love it!
I was thinking of getting
wacom bamboo:
Amazon.com: Wacom Bamboo Pen Tablet: Electronics

and a software to help type out math notes:
Amazon.com: Wacom Bamboo Pen Tablet: Electronics

and as for diagrams for physics and chemistry type classes i would just use microsoft journal.
Both microsoft journal and mobomath work well with microsoft word.

Any inputs? I'd just use normal paper+pencil in class, but I would rewrite them after. (wacom is very portable). Notes would be more organized and easier for my eyes...considering my handwriting that is.

a. The only people I’ve seen with a one of those pen tablets who really got their moneys worth were artists.
b. if you want to look badass, learn how to write REALLY fast in a mathematica and take your notes with that.
c. pencil + paper + autofeed scanner gets pretty good results if you want to digitize your notes.
d. most of my learning was spent doing problems, not really going over notes.
e. I really think taking computer notes is really over rated… but thats just me. Theres always someone who takes notes by writing on their ipad; i guess it works for some people.
