hi folks,
some of the colleges to which I am applying want 2 reccomendations, so I decided to take one from the GC (required) and one from my history teacher. but considering the fact that I was captain of the soccer team will it be good if I send an additional 3rd reccomendation from my coach ?
what do u think ?

bump anyone

I'd say stick with what the college requests. If they ask for (or accept) supplementary recs, then by all means, send in the 3rd recommendation. If they don't, then send the GC and teacher rec; otherwise, you risk annoying the admissions committee.

You really need to check with the specific colleges you are applying to. Most colleges require a recommendation from a teacher in an academic subject. Some colleges will not accept anything beyond the required submittals, but other colleges will let you submit additional recommendation letters and other supplemental material. Even then, only submit the letter from your coach if you are sure he will write you an excellent recommendation!
