Technological Advancements Impact on Wet-Lab Work: Biochemistry

Hello, I’m currently at a California Community College, looking to transfer next fall. I’m second guessing my potential major: Biochemistry/Chemistry. I understand that new technological advancements are on the rise, and i’m wondering what type of impact that will have on wet-lab work. Is it worth getting a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry or any physical science, or should I considered a smarter decision in the realm of computer science, bioinformatics or engineering? I want to do something that will be enjoyable for me, but I also want to make the smart decision based on where we are within the job market.

Also, I am new here, so if i’m posting about a topic that has already been discussion, please refer me to that thread. Thank you!
