Hey everyone! I'm so excited to finally be going to Wellesley. My parents decided that even though the financial aid package wasn't ideal, that they would still let me choose based on where I thought I would fit in best.

I just wanted to ask a question about Wellesley classes. I know in a lot of other much bigger institutions, many students take notes on their laptops or frequently bring other such devices into class. Is there a rule against that at Wellesley? Or does it depend on the professor? Thanks so much!

It depends on the professor, though most allow it. I’ve only had a couple specifically request laptops not be used in class. This may vary from department to department, though. (I’m an English and History major.)

Hmmm…My daughter is legally blind and would need to use her laptop for reading and note taking. She has been all through high school. We met with the disability service office and I was a bit disappointed to get this same response from them (just a him really) regarding this. Made me a bit leary of how well they accommodate disabilities there…
