When I begin in the fall, I'm planning on bringing my HP laptop that I purchased 2-3 years ago. It's on the bulkier side, so I planned on leaving it in my room for major assignments and work and then bringing either a netbook or iPad to classes to take notes. Has anyone done this or something similar?

yea most students do that except they use the 13in macbook pro lol. Most students who bring laptops bring the macbook but i seen people use ipads and netbooks.

One word of advice is that ipads/laptops will get you distracted in class, thats why i don’t take one. If you really need to use a computer and don’t want to go to your dorm you can go to the computer lab in between classes.

How can Rutgers not have wi-fi in the dorms in this day and age? Pathetic.

Rutgers has WiFi in the lounge of every floor. In my freshmen dorm, more than half the students were able to access that WiFi from their rooms because of how close they were. Also, each on campus apartment has secure WiFi too. Housing is working on getting WiFi in every room in the residence halls but considering there are over 14,000 beds here it’s a pretty big project
