I like people that feel superior 'cause they don't do drugs

I wasn't referring to you. I was talking about the "we're better cause we par-tay" POV

I don't like either of you. :)

Guys forget it druggies will be druggies.

i do believe that people can use drugs responsibly, and that in moderation, they'll be just FINE.

although i do agree that smoking cigarettes is pretty idiotic (at least i can see the appeal of weed - cigarettes don't seem to have any benefit whatsoever besides the "cool" factor, or who knows what. plus, i have yet to hear of anyone dying from marijuana - except because they got really high, tried to drive down the highway, and got hit by a 18-wheeler or something).

but i get annoyed when non-smokers get preachy to smokers, or non-drug-users to drug-users. ultimately, its their own personal choice, and chances are that they've already heard it all. your impassioned speech about the harms of drugs/alcohol/tobacco/ is not gonna turn their life around.
[/end rant]

(btw, not speaking to anyone on this thread, really, just making a generalized statement. i wish there wasn't the need to put these kind of disclaimers on the end of posts like these, but people have a tendency to misread these kinds of things)

I guess those Drug Ed. classes and informative sessions were simply a waste of time...

Please, drug ed. is propaganda.

your damn right they were, dukebound11. these are the same schools that discourage individuality

Seconded. All their embrace individuality crap breaks down the moment some REAL dissent pops up, and when its not just some kid who is gay or who decides to spend a couple of extra hours studying or something.

Drugs can be enjoyed with moderation, granted some drugs have a very fine line between use and abuse.

And honestly I don't know how Marijuana is illegal(medical use) when prescription drugs like Vicadin or Oxycotin are legal, other than big pharma can't make money of pot.

Drug ed. is actually counter-productive. Once kids find out for themselves and realize that weed isn't as bad as people tell you, then they learn to distrust everything they say in drug education, or just try to rebel for the sake of rebellion.

^that only happens pretty rarely though, other than that, agreed

wow i killed the thread, sorry guys

lmao! dude, don't worry about it. I think many of us are sick of preaching.

lmao, i think we all just burned ourselves out.

^please, do me a favor, and don't try to understand

lol. you know, i think that we need to try and figure out why people care so much. about smoking or not. i like being indifferent about it. saves a lot of stress

update: smoked another cigar today in honor of MLK.

^oh man we got a badass tribute on our hands right here

lol. i might get drunk for MLK and the inauguration. smart to do it on a school night huh?
