Teenage smoking

Toke up.

Been smoking this for a few years and as far as I can tell no negative side effects.

it will catch up eventually...but whatever not like anyone cares..lol

^ lol. maybe, but not necessarily. moderation is key, as i think i said before.

^what exactly do you mean by that?

no. smoking is deff bad for you, even in moderation. its just a matter of whether or not you care/need to run really fast any time soon.

^ what does speeding time have to do with smoking

a lot of my friends smoke and its defiantly made it harder for them to run fast for an extended period of time, your lungs just dont work as well.

as an avid runner who ran a 4:43 mile outside last spring and a 4:44 mile indoors(which is harder than an outdoor 4:43...spongy surface and tight turns) a week ago, one cigar a week will not hurt your athletic ability. if your lungs are so amazing from not smoking, then race me :)

edit: keep in mind that cigar smoke is not supposed to be inhaled, while cigarette smoke is.

yeh, thats what i was talking about, cigarette smoke and pot smoke

i smoke pot in moderation (i mean, no i dont :P)

when we ran a three miler for gym, i ran it in 16:02

silence, young spruce! :D

i've only done the cig's and cigars once though, so don't put me down for them

you coulda been a track supastar! once again, im not actually opposed to smoking, but people cant go off saying that cigs arent bad for you

im not big on running :D

i like baseball and basketball, though

A 16:02 3 mile could get you to the state cross country championships in nearly every state. Anyone who can run a 16:02 3 mile in gym class with no specific training for running is either Kenyan or Ethiopian, and definitely has olympic potential after a few years of training. Stated frankly, either your "3 mile" course was short or you lied. Kids don't randomly run 3 consecutive 5:20 miles. Yes, I ran a 4:43 mile, but it was after 2 years of consistent training.

^i said i don't like running, never said i didn't run

i try to stay in shape

"top of the bell curve"

just curious, but isn't top of the bell curve average? if we're talking about highest point elevation wise...

vaporizers are the most efficient and safest way to smoke marijuana. also, you get a high percentage of THC, i think in the 90%+

i am familiar with cross country and track, and the fact is that you did not run a 16:02 3mile by playing basketball and baseball and doing some running for fitness. it's simply not true. and if you aren't consciously lying, take a hard look at the course you ran on because it wasn't 3 miles.

16:02 3miles are rarely run in high school track/cross country competition, and they sure as hell aren't run in gym class by non-competitive runners. gym class is not the ideal place to run fast. you had the wrong clothes, non-racing shoes, no real competition, etc.

but in the end, people will always tell lies on internet forums, because they're anonymous. so whatever, it doesn't mean much to me. i'm just doing my part to stop the spread of misinformation.

edit: i see that you posted on november 26th asking whether to take the SAT or ACT, which was past the deadline for the December SAT registration, and then you posted yesterday that you got a 2390 SAT. do you lie about everything?

alright, glad we got that settled! :D

I can always smell cigarettes at school--either on the students,or restrooms. The other day in my math class I could smell cigarettes on someone..and I was like, " did someone smoke in here?" then the person who obviously was smoking, along with his group of friends gave me a long awkward stare. That was kind of funny.

I'm rude to smokers and I can stand it's smell.

^^ haha i'm guilty of that as well. whenever i smell smoke or see a smoker, i start coughing really loudly. but then i actually do start coughing...
