<p>I just went to the Telebears website because everyone kept talking about it on the forums and i had no clue what it was and skimmed over it and it still seems slightly confusing,</p>
<p>do i need to understand how the whole thing works before phase 1 starts on april 12th or will there be an actual time where i will be introduced to it?</p>

<p>Assuming you are an incoming freshman, you don’t have to worry about Telebears until you attend CalSO. The April 12th date is for continuing students.</p>
<p>Since it sounds like you’ll be a freshman next fall, you’ll first use Telebears at Calso. Whenever you sign up for Calso will be when you do your Phase I. Phase I is where you can sign up for your first 10.5 units, so it is used to sign up for classes that are hard to get into or to get certain times you really want. Phase II is where you sign up for the rest of the units you plan to take for the semester. It would be good to introduce yourself to how registering for classes work and what you may want to take for your first semester before you go to Calso.</p>
