I'm not a Haas intended, really, so I guess it's pointless for me to take 21. And I also doubt that I'm going to be an Econ major. So I guess I could just do the easy thing and take 2, but I'm curious...does it look better to take 20 rather than 2? I'm assuming that companies are hardly acquainted with Berkeley courses, but I just that when you're applying to college, admissions officers look at how rigorous your curriculum is.

Is anyone doing the public policy minor? How is that?

Has anyone taken Rhetoric 103A? It's being taught by Melia next semester.

Mixed reviews, overall, slightly positive. If your personality fits, I'd say take it. Also, you could always drop it eventually if it interests you. Some people in the department think that the class is the most pointless, or worse taught, or most useless class in the major. I think some people think it really puts historical context to classical rhetoric and rhetorical practice. I haven't taken the class yet, but plan on taking it sometime in the future for the major.
