So I recently received my advisor code from UC Berkeley College of Letters & Sciences because I wasn't able to attend CalSO at the school. I tried to enroll for CS61A and MATH1A today but as expected they were full. But when I tried to click on the option to get on the waitlist, it automatically says "Transaction cancelled" and that there was an error. When I try to enroll in other classes that aren't full, it allows me to do it so I don't think it's a problem with enrollment. And I asked my friend about it and she said she's never had such problems. Now I'm wondering if it's just a problem with me and wait listing... (And I haven't enrolled in any other courses so it's not a units problem either) If anyone could help me, I'd very much appreciate it! Thanks!

hey i am having the same exact problems… were you able to solve it? I am getting antsy as I won’t be able to change my schedule once phase 2 starts in a couple of days :/

^You can change your schedule up until 6 weeks after class starts (for classes without an early drop/add deadline). As for your problem of it not letting you add to the wait list, try calling the registrar, those classes tend to fill up early but actually clear out later on.

@dina4119 yeah but I still don’t wanna be too behind on the waitlist because you can’t change your schedule once the phase 2 starts and have to wait till your phase 2 appointment date to add/drop anything

Is it bad that I’m going to be a senior and I honestly did not know this? Thought you still could change during open hours as long as it was under 10.5 units. Are you sure about this?

@dina4119 yes I posted a question about it here few weeks ago here and no one answered so I did my research. “Like Phase I, you can make modifications to your schedule after your specific appointment time during Open Hours (weekdays, 7-8AM and 7PM-midnight; weekends, noon to midnight). You cannot access Tele-BEARS once Phase II begins until your appointment time, even during Open Hours.”

@sweetpea7 Telebears tends to have glitches from time to time. You should call the school to ask about this if it’s not just your computer or if the waitlist isn’t full (gotta wait until monday unfortunately). Phase II doesn’t start until July 17, so try to call before then. A suggestion next time is if it’s a issue that is making you angsty and it’s not something we could really help with, it would be less stressful for you to take initiative to call the school and ask about it.

EDIT: also be sure that the class you are trying to add doesn’t require a CEC and think of whatever can be affecting your Telebears. could be a system problem, or it could be something you are doing.

@totalcaprice Thanks for the reply! Yes, unfortunately I will have to wait until Monday to figure out what’s going on. I hope they will fix it quickly so I would at least have a “chance” to change my schedule before phase 1 ends on Tuesday. If this was one of those glitches, shouldn’t they have fixed it by now? OP had trouble with this almost 3 days ago and it’s still not fixed and I am worried!

I am pretty sure it’s not my problem because I can enroll into all the open classes (there is no registration block/hold) but it’s just that the system won’t let me get on the “wait list” for ANY classes (not just one particular class). It’s not my unit problem since I am only enrolled in 5 units and I checked the prerequisites for the classes so it’s not that either. I am entering the correct CCN. Plus, if it was my problem, it would have different messages telling me why I am not allowed to sign up. The system asks me if I want to be added to the wait list and I click “confirm” and the next page it says “transaction cancelled. Error has occurred.” Also, OP is having the same problem as me so I really don’t think I am doing something wrong here…

It’s really my fault, I should’ve thought more about my schedule so I don’t have to do this last minute changing. I am surprised there aren’t more people having this issue with tele bears though…
