<p>so you’re definitely right about the lecture filling up, but an advisor seems to say that b/c you are in lab you’ll get into lecture (3rd comment) … I was under the impression that this DIDNT happen for 3a/3al because they’re separate (aka I should do excatly as LH told me)?</p>

<p>According to LH / others for Fall where only 1 lecture is offered, phase 1 lab AND lecture in order to ensure enrollment. I suppose you can risk phase 1 lab and phase 2 lecture, but there’s no assurance that you’ll be able to get into the lecture if you’re waitlisted.</p>

<p>easier as in you have absolutely no homework whatsoever? then yes. lol. But there is a lot of self-learning (which I don’t know whether it changes with lab or not). Supposedly labs aren’t related in 3a.</p>
<p>And I think to take 3b, you need 3al and you can’t just take 3b by yourself iirc. (Can’t remember if latter is true or not)</p>
