telephone calls from colleges

A few weeks ago, a college called me saying congratulations that I got accepted.. but I dont know how to respond to them. What should I say to them in return? If they ask do I have any questions, what kind of questions should I ask? Thank you.

You have not gotten anything in the mail? As far as I know, my schools won't give out decissions over the phone what-so-ever.

yup.. they call first and then the letter arrives a few days letter.. what should I say to them during the phone, just in case if other colleges are also calling me?

Ledyana, they are calling because now that they have accepted you, they want to encourage you to enroll -- they are trying to close the deal. That is - they have made you an offer, and they are trying to make a good impression in the hopes that you will accept them.

What you can do is use that call to get answers to any questions you may have about the college, of any sort -- academic, social life, what the dorm rooms are like, etc. At this point -- you don't have to make a good impression on them any more, you have already been accepted -- but you can use the telephone contacts as a way of getting information that will help you in the decision you will be making next month. Even if the person who calls doesn't have the answer, they may be able to tell you who does or where you can find it.

Ledyana, Aren't you the one who's in Indonesia? Colleges are calling? Sounds good!Calmom's right, you have nothing to lose at this point; you're in. If you have questions ask them. If you don't, say, politely, that you appreciate their interest and that you'll be making your decision by May 1.

thanks for the information, I am really nervous when college is trying to call me especially because English is not my first language.. Yup I am the one from Indonesia..

OMG! You must be pleased if US colleges are calling you in Indonesia! What a compliment!

Let us know your decisions.....

Say, "Thank you, I will be looking at the information you send me and will be deciding in the next month. Is there a contact person I should call if I have any questions?"
