<p>GPA: 3.3 unweighted 3.9 weighted (i know its weak)</p>

<p>Course load: i will have taken 12 AP classes by the time i graduate and 6 IB classes and lots of honors classes
i go to a very competitive public school (grade deflation)</p>

<p>ranking: probably 3rd or 4th decile D:
my school's a magnet school so we attract lots of smart kids</p>

<p>Testing: ap euro 4, ap us 5, ap calc ab 5, ap lang/comp 5, ap studio art 3, ib business sl 5, and i expect to get all 5 this year</p>

<p>SAT: 2180 Math(800), Reading(660), Writing(720)
ACT: 33
SATII: 740 mathIIC, 680 lit, 710 us history</p>

speech and debate - 9-12 (have also volunteered as a debate judge for middle schoolers)

<p>i know my stats are a bit mediocre but emory is my number one choice and i'd really appreciate honest opinions. thanks</p>

<p>Looks like we have similar stats. A lot of my friends who are at Emory and others who were admitted said I have a good chance if I do Early Decision I. I would definitely suggest the same for you :)</p>

<p>Early decision; and then maybe…Emory is very UW GPA centric (and if they decide to care about class rank this year, that may be an issue as well.)…but like I said, ED is the way to go if it’s your first choice…</p>
