I hope you pretended to care about your commitments in your app more than it seems like you actually do…

thats besides the point… the question is what are my chances of getting in

Committee not Commity. You can’t tell anything from what you posted. Really, you just listed a few clubs. There’s nothing special about that.

so what ur saying is that i probably wouldnt get in even with my gpa

No, I meant it by the fact that it’s impossible to tell anything because you haven’t mentioned your involvement in these clubs along with your essays. There’s so many factors in the admissions process. It’s impossible to tell from so little information.

Good luck though! I applied to BU myself.

im still a junior so i didnt even start with applications… im just nervous is all…what are ur stats if u can call it that

work on your ECs, improve your grades on this critical time frame. Good luck on your next SATs

thanks…do you go to bu??

I do and BU tends to value strong extracirriculars and unique personalities over test scores and GPA. Anyone who applies to BU..seriously.. has decent standardized test scores and grades.

oh i see…its not the place for me

is that 1300/2400?

didn’t mean to say it was not the place for you. just meant that in a lot of cases admissions seems to value solid commitments and extracirriculars and more importantly what I was alluding to your dedication to them. Seven kids from my graduating class applied to BU the six lowest SAT score applicants were accepted because the kid with the best mark did nothing else and was just a lazy waste of a great mind-again not to say you are..

DJglover, I applied and I’m waiting to hear. I have a good ACT score of 27, 1760 out of 2400 on the SATs, so my scores are fine but not amazing. My weighted GPA is 3.87, unweighted 3.47. (Exciting stuff, huh?)

My essay is very well-written, artistic and personal. I’m not in any school clubs but I participate in music, writing, babysitting, photography and filmmaking outside of school.

How do you think they might view me? :)
