Tell Me My Chances or Die Tryin'

Lol...thought that was a clever title. This is my last chances thread before I apply.

Ok so down to the good (actually...not so good) stuff

Pretty sure im in Top 10%

---- Add-ons
- Great, but not spectacular essay. Probably going to write about what it is like being an athelete representing your country.
- Great Recs. Top 10%-Top 5% for the year in each category.
- Cricket is very improtant to me. I play locally and internationally and have represented the US in many tournaments. Hoping this will be my hook to get me into some reach schools.

---- College List:
- Columbia University (Columbia College)
- New York University (Stern)
- Cornell University (Arts and Sciences)
- University of Southern California (Marshall)
- University of Michigan (Ross)
- Rutgers University
- Stevens Institute of Technology
- The College of NJ

So basically I realize I am not the most competitive applicant. I am hoping the sports and essay part will help me lots. So many kids in my school are applying to so many of those colleges. Is it true that good schools only accept maximum of 2 people from each school? The SAT was a huge let down but I've no time left so I gotta deal with what I have. Any and all input is welcome.

Thank you for all your help.

No, it's not true that there is a "student limit." At my old school, 13 kids were accepted to MIT in one year and 6 to Yale in that same year. I'm not even joking. So don't worry, that is a MYTH.

Yeah, that whole "limit" thing is garbage. Don't listen to it.

Alright...I thought it sounded fishy. Thanks. Any insight on my chances to those schools?

Anyone at all???

Columbia: 10%
Cornell CAS: 20%
NYU/USC/MICH: 50-60%? I don't know that much about them.
Other three are almost 100%.

Caltech-90%

caltech 90%?! wow..
well anyways yah, ur cricket thing sounds really good, hopefully it'll be ur hook to ur reach schools.

umm...uhh...I'm not applying to Cal Tech. Plus I don't think anyone here has a 90% shot at Cal Tech.

haha livinitup... i have nothing to say for your chances as im not very experienced
i just thought id tell you that i like your title :) its very catchy.

I don't care what you think of your chances. You're going to Caltech because I'm telling you to.
