I'm not really sure about your chances and it's really impossible to tell case by case, but I'll give you opinions about a couple of things.

Your SATs and GPA are below Vassar's average, so they will hurt you. (An upward trend in your grades might help, and make sure to try really hard with your senior grades.) That said, your ECs are great, you're in some select programs in your school, and you're a first-generation high school grad and college-attendee (which I think they'll really like--they like to have things like that to brag about on their info pages). Oh, plus you're bilingual. I wouldn't say that you're an extremely strong candidate based on your SATs, grades, and rank, BUT I wouldn't say that you don't have a chance at all because you have some strong characteristics and who knows what they'll consider most important from you. Admissions are unpredictable sometimes...

I'd definitely suggest that you try to get an interview. It's great to show them ways that you stand out beyond grades and scores. That said, I wouldn't send in all of those recommendations. They say they that two are great but getting three+ is annoying, and I'd go with what they say on that one (unless your school counselor tells you otherwise). If they defer you, though, send in all of them. :P

Any other opinions?

Are you applying to Vassar? i hope the vassar admissions staff is unpredictable and does admit me i realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly want to get into vassar.

Hard to say about chances, really. You're academics aren't so good, but your ec's are excellent. Also, you're a URM and applying EDII which are big boosts. I'd say you have a chance, but it looks like a crap shoot. I wouldn't put so much hope into getting into Vassar, though. Take a look at your other schools and fall in love with a safety. That's my advice, but overall I say you do have a chance at getting admitted. It's difficult to say what the adcom will want, sometimes grades and SAT's can be a little lower, it just depends on the rest of your applications and those of others who are applying. Good luck w/ getting admitted and let us know what happens.

Whats a URM?

I think it's an under-represented minority. :)

I really did not know what URM meant but your answer makes sense.

So is vassar your first choice school?
did you apply ED?
and have you visited campus?

Yes, yes, and yes! I'm really excited/nervous for my decision letter...

seole!!!!!!!!! Im sowwy you got deferred!!! OMG!!!!! if you got deferred im probably getting rejected!!!!!! lets just keep our fingers crossed!!!! That we both get in!!!!!! BY THE WAY What did you submit for your my space submission??

Thanks so much for your support! Yeah, I'm sad that I got deferred...but there's always hope that they'll let me in later, right? Don't worry about comparing your stats to mine--we don't know exactly what they're looking for and it's possible that your strengths are just the ones they're looking for. Just blow them away with the My Space, essays, and interview! It would be great if both of us got in...thinks lucky thoughts

I sent a poster with a map of Patagonia (southern Argentina) and pictures of myself in all of the different places/things I've seen here with arrows to the map (glaciers, penguins, whales, other exchange students, my host family, etc). It was pretty (hopefully not destroyed in the mail) and I thought it was a fun thing to balance a heavier main essay, but it's possible that they wanted to see something more personal/deep. I'm just not sure whether they liked it! :P But it was fun to put together... :)

I think its a good idea. Also, my friend sent in a slideshow of her trip to Bolivia for her your space (a similar idea) and now she's a freshman at Vassar this year.
