Tell Me What You Know About These Schools...

Hi! :) These are the colleges I'm considering...

I believe that the most important part about making a college decision is deciding where you are truly going to be happy. To me, this isn't about academics. It is about the lifestyle, and while I want a school with good academics, I also want to live in an atmosphere where I can prosper and grow as a person.

So.. Here they are.

University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth

University of Rhode Island

Simmons College

Northeastern University

MCPHS

Regis College

Curry College

West Chester University

University of Delaware

Salve Regina University

Thankss Bunches! Anything aboutttt the school will be greatly appreciated =)

I’ll help where I can.

University of Rhode Island-big-time party school. Close to Brown. Gives ZooMass a run for its money.

Northeastern University- rapidly trying to grow its reputation, spends lots of effort emphaizing its location, and IMO has a vibe that it has a manifest destiny to become an elite college. Probably will grow in prestige, though.

West Chester University-commuter school in beautiful West Chester, PA, a suburb where the infamous comic Dave Barry got his start writing about city maitnence issues. Growing in reputation.

University of Delaware- VP Joe Biden is an alumnus, a bit of a party school but less so than U RI. Has many reputable programs.

NE’rn U is definitely the “best” college on the list. However, if you really want a school that “fits” well, you need to get a feel for different school types (urban vs. suburban, large vs. small, etc.) You can do this by visiting local uni’s that fit the criteria if necessary, ex. visit U Mass-Amherst instead of U Deleware.

Thank you so much for you input!
I have visited a number of the schools also… so i appreciate that advice =)
I was more or less wondering how it really “was”… because you know you never get the same thing on the tour…

Also, city and suburban doesnt bother me, as long as I’m not in the middle of nowhere :)
