<p>1)3.3. Special Ed lol. No ECs. No SATs Took basic math(e.g basic addition) for 6 yrs up till sophomore yr. Then during my junior yr, I meticulously self studied algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2 and tested into trig/precalc for summer school at a CC. Earned the highest A over the summer(something I’m quite proud of given my experience). Then during the second half of my senior year, I took calculus1 at a CC and again got an A. Despite all this improvement, my 1st 2 yrs screwed me over for the UCs. </p>
<p>2)My CC experience was much better. I got a 3.9 in hard math and science courses. Tutored students. Ran a math club. Part of my essay was about how much I improved since HS and the confidence I gained as a result.</p>
<p>3) I got into all the UCs I applied to as an applied math major. (UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCD, UCI UCSC). I’m going to UCLA.</p>
