<p>I'm posting this again, so could everyone reply to this!!</p>
<p>I'm an Asian from NJ. I lived in the states for a while (am a US citizen) and then moved to my parents' country and lived there for 8 years. I moved to new jersey about 3 years ago so my writing is not excellent. (ive been in esl for half a year) i've overcome personal hardship but am a couple years older than my peers (illness & english)</p>

(i took each of the sat IIs twice...)
toefl: 287
gpa: 3.7/4.0 uw
rank: 16/311 (5.1%)
School: public (mostly people go to state schools, though this year we have a lot of smart ppl)</p>
<p>Though freshman year i took ESL and CP classes
I've been a honors/ AP A-/B+ student.</p>
<p>Senior Year:
AP Chem, AP Physics (joint program with a nearby college), AP Language & Comp, honors English</p>
<p>...my grades are mostly b's this year so far...and im taking physics for the first time</p>
<p>extracurricular:
volunteering
(school peer tutoring club "peer tutor of the year",
school library, school nurse's office, school volunteering club, nearby hospital for 3 years...
and some temporary positions like working on a political campaign for a couple of days..)

school newspaper (just a writer..about 6 small stories), culture club (small leadership position),
