Tell us something about yourself that is not readily apparent from your application. (300 characters.)
This is tricky. What kind of stuff did you guys write? Put yours on if you want to (really, feel free… I’m serious…)

Dude, this is like the THIRD OR FOURTH TIME PPL's ASKED THIS QUESTION IN THE PAST TWO WEEKS. Search the threads...it beats the hell out of waiting for responses.

umm. idont mean to enrage anyone.. where does it say 300 words??? cuz i want to attach an essay to it.. but it says "answer in the space provided"

I wouldn't attach an essay to it. I think part of the 300 character limit is to see how well you can answer the question in a short amount of space.

300 characters

i wrote this awesome essay for the common app.. it shows a lot about where i came from and myself... is there anyway for me to attach it to penn's app? it doesnt really give much space.

This is my thoughts with adding things the app doesn't ask for,

regional rep is reading all the apps from your area and they see someone added an extra essay. Rather than them thinking, "awesome! a motivated student is giving me another essay to read", its more work for them to go through and read it. They probably think, "Why couldn't this person follow the directions". I don't know, my thoughts are if you're going to send something extra, it better be pretty damn good or worth their time.

there's a lot less room on the paper application for that question. Writing in very tiny, neat Asian handwriting, I only managed to fit in 3 medium length sentences. It only gives you three lines!

listen to mr happy face.

Definitely do not attach an essay! I'm with HappyFace & Pineapple, they've got enough to read. Besides it says 300 characters -- its always best to show you can follow instructions! Just tell them something (briefly) about yourself -- simple stuff, previous posts have said things like : easy-going, like to cook, hooking-up cars -- they just want a better picture of what you're all about. Good Luck.

alright then.. :(

That I can play the trombone with my left nut

hey catch-22, which threads are they?

and does your name refer to the book, band, or concept?

anyone is free to answer that question. Both questions in fact. But more importantly the first...

Just flip back to pages 2, 3, or 4...the threads are there, believe me.

My name=book.

Darmani, I hope I didn't come off as rude/mean in my previous post. But honestly, just tell them something about yourself. I don't understand why ppl are trying to "format" this question. If you are curious, I'll tell you what I put for the fourth time or so. I put that I can cook Chinese food (I handle the wok pretty well), and I dance (think Usher/street).

Faux - thats a REALLY good talent. I have to use both nuts...:(

I wrote about my huge milk mustache add collection and my concern about being and eating healthy - I hope it works for them

ALSO, i must say I'm very upset that the mods deleted my thread about my "hotness" yesterday.

why, was the thread obscene?

do you think writing about how I have perfect musical pitch would be too braggy?

no, just make it funny-ish.

all's well that ends well; I submitted.
Cath-22, thank god youre the book, and thanks.
