I’ve been accepted early action to two colleges, but I want to let all of mine know that I plan on dropping AP World History for Game Design. How do I do that? Who do I contact? (I’m not too worried since I already have 6 other AP’s)
You would email the admissions office. I highly suggest you to reconsider your decision however. You only need to pass the course second semester to avoid having your offers of admission revoked. If you are intent on switching, however, I suggest you to first talk to your guidance counselor about whether such a change will jeapordize your acceptances (it probably won’t since you do have a high number of AP’s) and whether or not he/she could communicate this change to the colleges instead of yourself. Also, you may want to consider asking admissions officers in your communications whether or not it will reverse your admissions decisions. After all, it’s much better to be safe than sorry.
