Telling other Colleges to where you applied

In the additional document sections of the common app, like the idiot I am, I put at the top:

**
To Pitzer, USC, blabal other college names:**

So pretty much, I told all my schools where else I was applying to.

Will this hurt or affect my admissions at all?

Colleges already know that you're applying to more places than just them, and they also know that almost everybody recycles stuff for the colleges, so while it might not be the most graceful thing to do, I wouldn't worry about it.

thanks, can anyone else confirm or have any knowledge about this?

thats a HUGE turnoff to schools....from wat i've heard, it lowers ur chances big time, unless its not a really competitive college.

it depends on which college it is. Some colleges, especially those striving to move up in the rankings, are very sensitive to applicants who are known to have applied to more prestigious colleges; they don't want to see themselves being used as a hi-end "safety". Google "tufts syndrome" for more info

Ive been told if it says to list what other schools you are applying to, leave it blank, especially if the application for your safety says it.
Your safety may see that they are being used as a safety and reject you.

Sigh. GOD im such an idiot -____-

there goes my acceptance letters

lol you think you will get rejected just because you wrote down what colleges you are applying?? That's stupid...
