Telling your friends

@kathryn6422 what grade r u going into?? and you will easily make new friends bc almost all boarding schools are really accepting and new ppl are always interesting

I’m going into 9th

oh, then you will def be able to make new friends because everyone there is new

I told my friends from the beginning, how my interviews went, how was the application process… They didn’t treat me like “whats wrong with you?”, they were really supportive and my teachers said " I’m sad that you’re leaving but glad that you’re reaching your dream". Friends will always be friends, they will help you get through rough admission processes and celebrate what you have accomplished later :)

I’m on the cliff of graduating middle school, and have told my friends. They were like, “Okay. Sure. Wait, what did he say in Spanish class today?” Not the most supportive reply, eh? Then again, our network of friendships has been experiencing quite a bit of turbulence recently.

I’ve also told a couple of my classmates who are applying as well. I swear, this year, there are seven applying in my class, and three of them are well-groomed for the job-strong ECs, stellar transcript, deep enough pockets…it’s a competition for us, and I can’t keep up. sigh Aw well!

I feel terrible about this, but I told all my friends that I’m applying, but that I won’t attend if I get accepted. This is going to cause a few awkward moments if I get accepted anywhere one March 10th comes around…
