@jackjim956 How’d it go? Did he ask a lot of questions which put you on the spot? You’re lucky it was only one interviewer! Mine is sometime next week… I’m so very nervous, it’s getting out of hand

@inaweoflacs

over all it went pretty well. he did not shy away from making you defend your beliefs. we got into pretty deep/personal stuff, ranging from (mainly) politics to theology. also, have questions prepared for your interviewer! i wish i did.

jackjim- did you mention politics in your application? I have a feeling if my interviewer asks me about politics, I’ll get booted right away haha

Yeah I did mention politics, but I kinda forgot about it since I lost access to my application.

^^

How do you lose access to your application?? =O

well… i may or may not have started it the afternoon it was due, and used a random username that i never would remember. only yesterday i found a screenshot of my confirmation thing with my username on it. i screamed out of rage.

Oh

Also, I wonder if interviewers have a fixed criteria on which to grade us, or if the interview is viewed holistically. I hope it’s this latter, cause I feel like my application wasn’t all that good.

Not to sound ironic here, but I really hope you guys have worse applications / interviews than me.

better chances lol

And seeing how many of you completed the application on the day it was due… uplifts me.

I had my interview as well. I was nervous at first, but my interviewer was insanely nice! So I calmed down after a while. Mine was pretty short and it focused mainly on essays. It’s out of my hands now. Good luck to those with interviews coming up!!

@jackjim956 I’m amazed at the fact that you had a good interview even though you didn’t get to re-read your application! kudos to you

we’ve fallen to the third page, guys - unacceptable hahaha

anyways, i have a couple of mini practice interviews with teachers and college friends scheduled in the week leading up to my interview because, honestly, i really need a rigorous refresher

I had my interview today. Don’t freak out, guys. My preparation by teachers really didn’t help me at all, I didn’t need it. I had four interviewers. PM me with any questions if you’re nervous. I think mine went really well.

Does anyone know anything about admission chances from outwith the US? Would the Telluride Association consider an English year 12/lower sixth form roughly equivalent to a US junior year? I’m in year 10 right now, which I believe is freshman year, so I have plenty of time if so. Thank you!

Welp… Let’s revive this thread. Got my interview date (starts biting nails)

@SaperryAude Yes, year 12 is junior year.

The interviews really aren’t that bad. It’s what you make of it. Just try not to be uptight and nervous and provide rigid, one-sentence responses. They don’t really want that from you. It really is supposed to be a complex, intense conversation from what I got out of it. It was a lot of fun, I’d do it again if I could. Don’t be scared if you have more than one interviewer, either. I had the maximum and I think it made the experience more interesting.

I just came back from my interview and it really is exactly how Pepperoncini put it: a complex and intense yet fun conversation! I’d certainly do it again.

Also, I don’t regret not preparing at all as I don’t think it would’ve helped me in the least.

Those of you who’ve had your interview, would you mind sharing how long it lasted?

One hour and fifteen minutes, but it seemed to go by in five
