took a bunch of APs and Honors and had really unique ECs. I also submitted a portfolio!

My son is still waiting to hear form Temple. It is a reach school for him. A week or so ago his application was placed “on Hold” which means he is very marginal, according to the admissions rep I spoke to. Maybe if enough accepted students decline they will let him in! (but then there is the funding issue). Luckily he has several other really good options, but he did LOVE Temple when we visited in the fall.
My son is still waiting as well. He was put on hold in December. He had to submit his 1st and 2nd qtr grades and did so as soon as he received his 2nd qtr grades. We were told last week (6 days ago) by admissions that his portal should be updated in the “next few days”. Well tomorrow it will be a full week and still no update!! Ugh…he can’t make his final decision (Drexel or Temple) until we hear back from Temple and the waiting game is killing him (well all of us)!!
My son was accepted today off of the “on hold” list! Good luck to those still waiting!

@booknerd00 You can email your admissions counselor. There are some templates on various websites with how to write a letter to decline an offer.

I was just accepted yesterday! I actually applied after the application deadline, so it was a bit of a hail mary, but I got all the components required submitted after a few days. I applied last week using the Temple application (I maxed out of common app schools lol), and it said my application was on hold for a few days, but yesterday I randomly decided to check my portal and voila. It was definitely a surprise considering how much of a reach school it is for me, but I think this will be the school that I attend f I can figure the financial portion all out. When could I expect a letter in the mail? On my portal it just says admitted; I still haven’t even received an email for a portal update but I’m not complaining. Thank you in advance!
Congrats @princess2020 ! I’m not sure that you will get a letter in the mail, as we haven’t received anything in mail or email. In fact, S just checked portal this morning to see how to decline admission and noticed a substantial scholarship that hadn’t been there before- no prior communication to check portal.
Has anyone been accepted off the waitlist for Fall 2020? We are still waiting, and wondering if it is time to give up. Thx.
@supbrodasis I am also an international student applying to temple for fall 21. I am very anxious about whether I’ll get a scholarship or not. What was ur SAT and GPA?
What has your experience so far with private student loans? I think I may need one for my sophomore year
