@mamag2855 Excellent - that is great news and what I was hoping to hear !
Thanks again for your help and valuable info.
@lorhop I am happy to share my experiences as a Temple parent, feel free to pm me any time, or post on a Temple thread. CC is a great resource! Glad you are going to the accepted students day event. We were so impressed last year when we attended, Temple went from a safety school to my Ds first choice. She loves it there, did well in her first semester classes, and she thought her professors were excellent , too.
@mamag2855 Wonderful - that is great and I love hearing feedback like yours. My daughter has been accepted into 8 schools - honors colleges at many still waiting on others and has 3 full tuition offers and is waiting on the rest for merit scholarships and due to the fact that it is close to home has moved up to the Top of her List. Miami University of Ohio was #1 on her list and she got into Honors there as well as Pre Med Scholarships also with full tuition but it is 9 1/2 hours away so she is leaning toward Temple now. Thanks again and I’m sure I will be back to you again with more questions - truly Thank You so glad to hear your D loves it there and has had a great experience there - just what we wanted to hear
@mamag2855 You have been a Tremendous help - thanks again !
@lorhop my daughter got the Provost Scholarship at Temple and even though we live in TN, she’s going there! We were so impressed with Temple Honors and the theater dept there- she’s planning to major in Theater Production, and Philly has a great theater scene!
I hear what you are saying about Miami of Ohio being far away. That’s a great school, though. Definitely has a different vibe than Temple!
My own daughter will be 12 hours away from home next year! I got the feeling that Temple Honors is very nurturing, though. I think it will be a great place for her.
@asmithfield Congrats ! Great Choice as it looks like my D may choose Temple too. It’s funny as she said the same thing that she thought the Temple Honors College had a very cozy, home like feel - that was what she loved about it. And yes, Miami & Temple are 2 totally different type campuses and she loved them both for different reasons but either way she can’t go wrong. Maybe our daughters meet up at Experience Temple Day or in August
Sounds like Temple would be a great place for both of them which is always comforting for moms
got accepted on Dec 12. Still have not heard of scholarships.
Rolling App was ready to view since Nov. 28. Haven’t heard back.
Temple was my #1 but didn’t get honors and only got $5,000 merit scholarship. What a joke.
(sorry accidentally reposted and idk how to delete on mobile if you even can)
Sorry you’re disappointed @ally22 but a joke? I think not. Plenty of applicants on here got large scholarships and honors. Therefore, there is no joke. Good luck with your other schools.
My son applied Dec 30 and was accepted yesterday with honors. No information on scholarship yet. 1500(R&M) old SAT. That was quick,
@robincorn did he find out via the portal or an emailed decision?
Whaaaat I’ve applied since November 15th and haven’t heard back yet!
My son applied late October for nursing and app was complete" November 1 and still nothing. I noticed on the portal it originally said 4-8 weeks for a decision, now it’s changed to “in excess of 8 weeks”.

@jnkam24 Lol sorry excuse my frustration. I’m just angry that the scholarships decreased so much since they went so far over their budget last year! Kills me to know that if I graduated a single year earlier I would have gotten over double the amount of money I’m receiving.
@irelandjessy That’s strange. I have a friend who applied to nursing 11/1 I believe and got accepted mid-December. Might be randomized
ally22 Don’t feel bad - I totally get being disappointed about this! It’s crazy that one year made such a massive difference. I can’t help but wonder if their response to last year’s issue is an over-correction that might really hurt the university’s quality of enrollment down the road.
