We received an updated financial aid packet yesterday with more money.
Yep, we got an email stating they need to update our merit award. There was an error in the first letter. Hopefully it’s more and not less!!!
Big day today at Temple. The first ETD for admitted students. Who is still waiting to hear? We are still anxiously awaiting and hoping we get to go to the next ETD!!
Congratulations to all of the admitted students for Temple University! I just got accepted last week with a 1500 on the new sat (760 CR+W, 740 M) and gpa of 4.00 (uw). I also received the Provost Scholarship worth 18,000 per year! Just wondering, has anyone received an Honors college notification yet? They sent me a packet with the Honors flier but I have not received any word yet from their admission office.
If you got Provost youre in honors. Congrats!
@ally22 I feel your pain, I got a 5k scholarship too. It honestly doesn’t make much of a difference in OOS costs.
@bbaker10 Hi, has your S heard anything back from Temple yet?
If you look under the terms and conditions on the Portal you can see the estimated 2017/2018 rates; it loos like it’s going up over 3%…

Also if anyone could give me some information about the political science or english department at temple university that would be great!
Be aware that some of the majors charge higher tuitions. We weren’t told prior to applying and only discovered it after my D put down her tuition deposit and we were running the numbers through the calculator in the TU Portal. Her BFA is costing us about $5K more than we expected.
@photowoman thanks! I applied in mid december and received my acceptance on feb 15
@brightstar22 Nothing yet unfortunately. I think with the delay he has kind of ruled Temple out and is focusing on Miami University Oxford and U of South Carolina. Anything your way?
@bbaker10 Nothing yet over here. I’ve actually been looking at U of SC as well just in case. I’m still hoping for a Temple acceptance though.
Even though Temple told me a month ago that February scores would be too late to consider, I retook my ACTs anyways. I had a 30 before and received 5k–and now I got a 33 composite. Everyone on here with a 33 got either 18k or full tuition and it’s killing me right now that I’m going to be about 200k in debt when I wouldn’t be nearly as in debt if my test was a month earlier. Does anyone know anything I can do? I’m honestly considering a gap year as of now to get the scholarship next year. Already emailed admissions and director of Fox Business school.
Hi guys! I applied mid November and haven’t heard back yet. Should I lose hope and start looking at the schools that I’ve gotten in to? (Temple is my first choice) :((
@villalobosbn First Poster here, I am currently waiting myself, however that is unacceptable. Have you called in and checked? If so what did they say? I have heard stories on how people have been waiting 8+ weeks. When they call Temple just so happens to make a decision on their app the same day.
@SBundy Yes, I called about a month ago to check on my application and the lady on the phone said “Don’t worry you’re good, you’re good” I’m really concerned
@bigbric can i ask if you’re instate or OOS?
@SBundy Should I call? I applied 12/08/16 with the Temple Option yet I haven’t heard back yet, and am starting to get worried as Temple is my first choice. I’ve heard similar stories, too! Was thinking of typing an email to admissions but didn’t want to seem informal or whiny as if I was saying, “where’s my decision?!” or anything.
@adam2k17 feeling the same way. This wait is torture!!
